Hai Friends,
Can you please let me know how to apply security to a channel, and what would be the command.
Thanks in advance

Take a look at the WMQ V6 Security manual.
Your choices are basically SSL, MCAUser, and/or a message channel agent exit. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

There's not a command, just methods. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Do you want authentication?
Or authorization?
Or both?
What kind of channel?
The way you have asked this question suggests that you probably need to spend some more time understanding what "security" means. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I need to set security to "sender channel".
setmqaut -m QMNAME -t channel -n channelname - group +all
Will this work for a channel , will that set the secuirty for a particular group? |

Don't!
Before you start granting permissions to anyone or any group with setmqaut, you need to read the WMQ V6 Security manual to understand what +all means. This effectively grants all mqm authority - including creating new qmgrs, new queues, and so on.
A sender channel message channel agent will likely need +allmqi.
What issue/problem have you encountered that makes you ask how to set security for a channel? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
