Hallo
I want to connect via odbc den Broker to a Host Oracle DB hier you can see the odbc.ini File:
[ODBC Data Sources]
I0SIFPAP=IBM DB2 ODBC Driver
WBIMBBK1=IBM DB2 ODBC Driver
WBIMBCM1=IBM DB2 ODBC Driver
NOVISA=DataDirect 5.0 Oracle

[ODBC]
Trace=0
TraceFile=/log/mqsi/odbctrace.out
TraceDll=/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/merant/lib/odbctrac.so
InstallDir=/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/merant
UseCursorLib=0
IANAAppCodePage=4
UNICODE=UTF-8

[I0SIFPAP]
Driver=/prod/db2/db2t06i0/sqllib/lib/libdb2.a
Description=SIF MPM Database Configuration 01
Database=I0SIFPAP

[WBIMBBK1]
Driver=/opt/IBM/db2/V9.1/lib64/libdb2.a
Description=Broker Database
Database=WBIMBBK1

[WBIMBCM1]
Driver=/opt/IBM/db2/V9.1/lib64/libdb2.a
Description=ConfigMgr Database
Database=WBIMBCM1

[NOVISA]
Driver=/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/merant/lib/UKor820.so
Description=DataDirect 5.0 Oracle
EnableDescribeParam=1

WorkArounds=536870912
ProcedureRetResults=1
ColumnSizeAsCharacter=1
SelectMethod=0
NetworkAddress=10.49.28.182,1521
SelectUserName=1

I have also the Variables LIBPATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH set:
$LIBPATH
ksh: /opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/jre/bin:/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/jre/bin/classic:/usr/mqm/java/l
ib:/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/lib:/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/bin:/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/merant/lib:/opt
/IBM/mqsi/6.0/xml4c/lib::/usr/lib: not found.
tgdcasa3@/lhome/tgdcasa3> $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
ksh: /opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/lib:/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/bin:/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/merant/lib:/o
pt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/xml4c/lib:/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/lib:/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/bin:/opt/IBM/m
qsi/6.0/merant/lib:/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/xml4c/lib::/usr/lib:/usr/lib: not found.

But I receive always the error message :

Are you sure this is an ODBC problem? It looks more like an ESQL (or SQL) error to me.

I'm not sure I agree with your policework there, Lou...

Point taken, but the error looked more like a flow error. I'd have expected a true "can't load driver" to manifest when the broker was started.

But hey. Not the first time I've been wrong. Nor the last.
