I am using MQ5.3 with CSD12 on solaris m/c. When i start the Queue manager it started with listener. But it does not start the command server .When i do a starmqcsv qmanager name it says AMQ8118: WebSphere MQ queue manager does not exist.
Log file size is more than 1024 with circular login
There is sufficient spave available for on disk /var/mqm , mqlogs and opt/mqm .
I can't connect the queue manager through explorer. When i do a runmqsc qmanager name than diaplay qlocal(*) it goes to hang state.

FDC says
| Major Errorcode :- hrcE_LOG_FULL
| Minor Errorcode :- OK
| Probe Type :- MSGAMQ6709
| Probe Severity :- 2
| Probe Description :- AMQ6709: The log for the Queue manager is full.
| FDCSequenceNumber :- 4707

The message indicates that the allocated log space is full. This is not connected to the amount of space available on the disc, but the amount of space allocated to the queue manager logs at creation time.

I would say you had a lot of uncommitted transactions which have filled the log.

Make the log bigger and see if the problem persists. If it does, investigate the applications connected to the queue manager, trout on standby.
