MQ Java Client works with only TCP/IP protocol only while MQ C Client works with TCP/IP, SNA, IPX/SPX, APPC and other protocols also.

There is no trusted client for Java while you can work as trusted client with C, C++ and other languages.

More Over, Java client calls C Api with JNI technology.

Go through the books for more info.

I thought that the Java bindings made use of JNI to get to the qmgr (that is why you'll get the mqjbnd04.dll not found errors). I also thought that the Java client used tcp/ip to connect to the qmgr and didn't use any JNI. This is why it only support tcp/ip and not the other protocols.
