Hi,

I have Installed MQ V 6.0 windows 2003
If I create a QueueManager on this environment I get the ccsid as 437

I have installed MQ on Windows XP SP2
If I create a QueueManager on this environment I get the ccsid as 720 as it is arabic enabled

I changed the ccsid by the alter qmgr command
and restarted the QM.

But If I try to create a cluster between these QM then the cluster goes to the suspend status and I am having an issue

Can I solve the problem by simply editing C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\conv\table\ccsid.tbl on Windows XP machine?

what to add in this file so that the default CCSID be set to 437.

Is there any locale settings from the control panel from where the
value is fetched

Any suggestion is welcome

Regards

What does that mean?
And why do you think it has anything to do with the QM's CCSID?

Is there a conversion from 437 to 720 and vice versa. May be you need 850 instead of 437....

Hi,

We are getting ???? ???? on the response message we have the set correct Arabic character set in the db as we can see it.

Because of ??? the XML parser on the IBM data power fails

Now we are suspecting the MQ character set as we have windows 2003 SP2 and AIX 5.3 both having MQ v6.0.2.3

Any suggestion is welcome

Hi,

we fixed this issue by changing the ccsid on Datapower Xi50 for the MQ handler to 720 and also changing the CCSID on the MQ server ( windows) where where DP gets and puts the message to 720

Now the parser error is not appearing on the DP event view logs.

and we are getting proper request and response.

Thanks for the help

Regards
