I have installed the MQ Java client for iSeries and now need to test that it can connect to a server and send/receive messages without any problems.
Is there a sample program that comes with the client that I can use to test connectivity..?
I thought that the Samples were installed however, when checking the install by issuing the command "java com.ibm.mq.MQJavaLevel", I get the following error:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/ibm/mq/jms/MQJavaLevel
at java.lang.Throwable.<init>(Throwable.java:195)
at java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError.<init>(NoClassDefFoundError.java:40
)
Java program completed with exit code 1

I'm assuming this is not good but is it a Java/Machine problem or do I need to re-install the client..?

I have looked through the relevant manuals but can't seem to find anything that can help me.

I'm new to this so would appreciate any help.

Thanks.

The NoClassDefFound errors have been resolved. The CLASSPATH had not been set up prior to installing the MA45 support pac.

Now I need to find the equivalent of AMQSPUTC for iSeries, and configure it in order to send a message to the server.
