HI
I am trying to access queue manger in AIX box. When do dspmq command I see qumangers listed with status.
When I try to use any other control commands (like dspmqaut, dsmqver , runmqsc...) I get below error
ksh: dspmqaut: 0403-006 Execute permission denied.
Please help me.
Thanks |

Ask the MQ administrator for the queue manager.
Ask the AIX administrator.
You may not be allowed to have permissions to these, unless you are one of those two people. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

The fact that you did not know that your ID needed to be in this group is probably reason enough for your ID not to be in that group. Be careful. I hope thats not a production server. _________________ Peter Potkay

I would also question the addition to the mqm group and rather change permissions on the executable/chgrp to your group. |

Logically, anyone attempting to run the administrative commands listed in the original post should be in the administrative group or told to stop attempting to run them. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

How to use WebSphere MQ control commands
This chapter describes how to use the WebSphere® MQ control commands. If you want to issue control commands, your user ID must be a member of the mqm group. |

Let me withdraw my last comment. You shouldn't do any changes giving you administrative rights to the system if you don't know what you're doing and have good reason to do it. However, it is possible if you really have reason to. |

I think we've discussed this before. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
