Hi Everyone
I have 2 physical UNIX box and I would like to create 6 Queue managers in the a singel cluster ( 3 queue Managers per box). Would this work? Can you multiple queu managers in the single box and joing them in the cluster.

You can have multiple queue managers on one box. The thing that you'll need to do is have each of them listen to a different (distinct) port. I'd suggest not using the default port (1414) for any of them. I've always found it safer to not use the default when using multiple qmgrs on one box. |

I don't know what Venny's reason is, but I'll give you mine. If you make one of them the default, you can 'stumble' into it when you didn't mean to. To be honest, I try to avoid using a default qmgr. I prefer to have to explicitly say which one that I want rather than get the default. |
