I have tried to upgrade WMB 6 Fixpac 4 to version 6.1 software download from the IBM site via the new Installation Manager version 1.1.0.2 which too was downloaded from the IBM site.

I have been unsuccessful in upgrading the software following the instructions provided by IBM at http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27011490.

Basically, the connection in the Installation Manager to the repository.config file within the downloaded 6.1 software is successful. However, when I press the Icon to update the software it finds nothing to upgrade.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution?

You cannot upgrade from WebSphere Message Broker V6.0.x to V6.1 via the Installation Manager.

You have to do an install of the 6.1 toolkit (and the same is true for the runtime). Then you can use the Installation Manager to apply fixes.

I would recommend reading the V6.1 Migration doc for additional guidance.
