We are running two Brokers on separate AIX LPARS with the same BAR files deployed to each. Within one execution group on each Broker is a flow with 29 additional instances assigned.
When the flows are deployed and run, it can be seen via the Open Input Count on the WMQ Queue that 30 threads are running; however on the other Broker the Open Input Count on the WMQ Queue is 1.
Tried starting, stopping and redeploying but with no success.
Any ideas? |

What happens when you send 40 messages to the queue? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

We are trying to run performance testing in this environment, sending 100tps to each Broker. One is handling them beautifully and the other is getting longer and lonegr elapsed time for messages.
This was the symptom that led us to start investigating and spotted the open input count on one of the Brokers was set to 1.
No one here has seen this before and I just wanted to rule out anything obvious before looking at other areas. |

Okay, so you are in a situation where you should actually see all additional instances running at once.
What does Broker report pack through Toolkit about the configured additional instances on the flow, after deployment? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks for the help. There was a problem with the VIO on the Frame this LPAR was running on and once that was fixed it resolved our problem.
Still not 100% sure of the exact reason, but happy it was an underlying infrastructure problem and Broker is now performing as expected |

I guess the VIO was a little more V than IO... _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
