Hi Sneha,

Would you please elaborate the same regarding about storing of messages.

AFIK if we migrate from old version to new version, usually nothing happens to the messages,

For the safer side, we usually take a back up of the messages....
if some unlikely event happens we can restore the same later.

Use q or qload, same as for the licensed version.

Hi Gayathri,

the thing is I am newly setting up the evaluation version on Solaris 10 box because to avoid the time lapse before getting the licensed version. So later i have to retain the same messages. so for the time being how can I store these messages. in other words how can I take back up for the logs in which every transaction is stored.

Hi Sneha,

You have to un-install the trial or evaluation version before installing the licenced version. The messages will not be touched if you are un-installing the product, unless you delete it

1. You can think of taking the /var filesystem or just the queue directory backup.
2. As Vitor said Use q or qload (IBM supportpack by Mr Paul Clarke) backup/reload the mssages.
