There's definiately a way of controling WMBv5 yes.

...but on Windows at any rate, v5 commands don't run in a "Command Console"; WBIMB V5 modifies the system path so that the commands run from any shell.
(A very naughty practice, and made coexistence a nightmare.)

V6 brought Windows in-line with the other platforms, and everything was run under a profile instead.
