Think I know what the answer to this one is but ....

I have a client who wants to use broker to process http client requests storing information onto an Oracle database that has OLS enabled and so for the correct authority checking to be performed in the database the update/query must run as the user making the request.

Is this possible from "standard" database (or compute) nodes (I think not) or am I looking at java compute nodes or calling ejb or web service to perform the database action.

Broker will be at 6 or 6.1.

But, on the flip side, I haven't read a lot about the new web services security features in v6.1.

There might be something there that will do this.

Have checked through the documentation and database access is still via the broker userid.
