Hi all,
I am kind of a newbie working on IBM message broker toolkit. I have an urgent business requirement. My message flow sends out an error message to a fault queue whenever an exception occurs, what I want to implement is that as soon as a message is posted in this fault queue, an email should be sent to a couple of email addresses along with the values of certain local/global variables.
I am not sure if this can be implemented by MB toolkit at all or not,so please suggest a way out. Also,if I need to use some other tool for this functionality.

Thanks in advance
Sudeep

You don't mention which level of broker you're using.

If you want to send an email, I'd have thought the SendMail node contained the sort of functionality you'd be looking for. Depending on the level of broker it's either built-in or a support pac.

You'll need an external mail server. I imagine your site already has one.

If you're using WMB 6.1 use the built-in 'EmailOutput' node.
Prior to v6.1, use supportpac IA07: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg24000600&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en

Note that IA07 is category 2 (unsupported), and is completely different to the one used in v6.1. I don't know a way of automatically migrating between the two.

Sudeepm,

Check out:

There are examples for doing just this.
