Hi all,
what is the exact meaning of the QMgr attribute SSLRKEYC?
In the documents (e. g. MQSC reference guide) it is described as follows:
Quote:
SSLRKEYC(integer): The number of unencrypted bytes to be sent and received within an SSL conversation before the secret key is renegotiated. The number of bytes includes control information.
...
If a value greater than zero is specified and channel heartbeats are enabled for the channel, the secret key is also renegotiated before message data is sent or received following a channel heartbeat.
...
What does unencrypted bytes mean in this case? Is this only a counter of control information like channel commits, heartbeats etc.?
IMHO this attribute allows the renegotiation of secret keys without stopping end starting a channel. Is this correct? And how does it work? _________________ Regards
