Hi,
Ive created a Queue manager on i5OS V5R4. In the channel definition it refers to the message queue manager name as INLSPT01CäÑ, when it should be INLSPT01. Any time I try and change it it still gives me these chars?
I think it may be something to do with CCSIDs!! The QM CCSID is 37 and system CCSID is 65535.
Use remote admin on that qmgr... I would not know what the effects of putting chars in CCSID 65535 and having them interpreted in CCSID 37 would be... Any ways I would have thought that you'd use CCSID 500 and not 37 for that qmgr...
Do you set all the right CCSIDs on the message (65535?) or do you let the qmgr set its own? Do you have all the right translation tables loaded for CCSID 65535?
The CCSID was originally at 500 but I changed it to 37, but still the same issue.
By using Remote admin do you mean connecting to it via something like WMQ and editing that way? Ive tried this but it wont give me the option to change the "message queue manager name" using WMQ.
