Hi,
I get the AMQ6090 error messages even when I use the runmqsc, start_mq, etc..
I can get the root user, but even when I use that user I get the errors.

Any tips why this is happening. Appreciated

/opt/IBM/WebSphereServer/mqseries # ./start_mq
AMQ6090: WebSphere MQ was unable to display an error message 20006220.

pls Advise.

Yes, I had trie to export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19
but appears a message

export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19
./strmqm: error while loading shared libraries: libm.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

the AMQ6090 error appears in all the comands for mq.

It's almost certainly a PATH or LIBPATH issue.

Or a bad install. Or perhaps an os level security issue.

What version, please?

Is the root user a member of mqm?

I'd strongly suggest that you move forward to v6.0 since 5.3 is long out of support.
