I don't think you need to worry about this...
I believe the scratch version is the test site and may not be a full copy of the live site.

Michael is right. Scratch is the test site where different changes, new things are tried out before their eventual move to the main site. It uses several months old data for various testing and fixing exercises, it is not regularly maintained.
