Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could help me regarding Tivoli OMEGAMON XE for Messaging.This is the first time I've ever configured OMEGAMON and it's got me confused. What I'm really trying to understand is the best practice for installing....

I've installed the Tivoli Monitoring Server (TEMS) on windows XP
I've installed the Tivoli Portal Server (TEPS) on windows XP
I've installed the Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP) on windows XP

These all reside on the same host/box.

Each Message Broker I wish to monitor resides on a Solaris 10 operating system. Would it be correct (..best practice) to "Add TEMS application support" and reference a remote TEMS. This remote TEMS I hope would then allow me to pull back information from an agent residing on the Solaris box.

I fear I may have got confused along the road. Could anyone clarify if this is correct?
