We are using Websphere MQ 6.0 on HP-UX as the middleware. The customer is replacing all HP-UX servers with Linux servers. As a result we would need to run MQ on one of those Linux servers. I need to analyze the impact of migrating our MQ setup from HP-UX to Linux.

The MQ setup is fairly simple and consists of

1. Local queues where apps put/get messages (under transaction) using Java/.NET APIs
2. A custom built trigger monitor
3. SSL-enabled client-server connection to apps

What are the things to be considered during this migration? Pointers to documentation on the specific topic would be very helpful.
