The old search is a bit flaky and/or not maintained in the New World Order? Sulking now it's been replaced?
AFAIK the Google bar is now the appoved way, but I leave it to those in charge to offer an explaination of why the old way doesn't work (and why it's still shown if it's not).
Personally I think you get kudos for noticing it's broken. There can't be many people who actually search for things and don't just post! _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Google is a better search engine for most tasks than the one provided via the site's php-based scheme, that is why Google had been added. Having said that, i personally find the site's mag glass one more useful to me for other purposes, like when I look up posts by x author.
ps : you can also use the google input search area and directly point that to mqseries.net as well.

Vitor - by your "emoticon" I understand (??)
your phrase ... "you get kudos" ...
means something good,
but my english says I did not understand that sentence, sorry.
Anyway, as you the masters always sugest...
I do "search" a lot (or I do now more than before)
and I like more the old way,
because if I want to use Google, then I'd start at the Google page.
If I use "local" search, I expect to find the same (or more) results !
And today I went absolutely frustrated by noticing Google finds MORE
than "local".
Ok - if there is not "maintenance", I shall use the other.
Thanks. Seb. |

I was attempting to convey that I was impressed that you search for items in the forum rather than simply post a question without proper research. It is the best use of the forum and you are to be congratulated.
Often abbreviated to "kudos". I apologise for my use of coloquial terms. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
