A VB application used to connect to MQ server. The tolology is as follows:
bv app-->mq client --> MQ server
The mq client is not residing in the same machine as the vb app so it uses MQICSDT.dll file as a bridge( ?). It was working okay till sunday but now stopped working. It gives the file not found MQICSTD.DLL error.
Do any one of you have any inccident like this? Any suggestions?
thanks a lot |

Jeff,
That was my first questiont to them? what did you /or was changed since last time the app ran okay? Nothing has been changed. Except, there might be some hang process causing the problem.
Thanks a lot |

Did they restart the machine on Sunday? Did they repaint the server room blue on Sunday? Did they all go out for lunch together to the same restaurant and have fish, on Sunday?
Something changed... I don't think, but could be wrong, that this is a problem where the program can't read the DLL because something else has it hung up.
It might be because the client has installed things in a very unsupported configuration, but that may be besides the point. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I am waiting them to rebounce the box and see whether this fixes the problem. I will definitely post how we fix it. App folks are working on it now.
Thanks |

As suspected, the problem was resolved when a process was killed and the server was rebooted. The process running in in loop which was the cause the problem.
thanks every one for their input |
