Hi All,

Though this post is not at all technical, I would be very happy to receive all your feedbacks. This post is regarding my career. To give a little on my background, I completed graduation in Electronics 2005 june. Worked for an MNC basically in EAI for 18 months and for last one year I have been working in Signal Processing Domain.

I have been quite decent in both these fields (EAI and DSP). And now, I want to pursue my masters, should I pursue in Communication and Electronics or in Software side.

All feedbacks are appreciated.

Shanu

I don't offer career or relationship advice, for reasons abundantly clear if you look at the shattered wrecks of my career and my relationships!

I'll simply say that you should examine all your options, weigh all the factors, look into developing market trends then jump into the unknown like the rest of us!

I also close with 2 cautionary tales: one of a DBA who told me in 19-a-long-time-ago that the whole middleware thing was an intermediate step on the road to the development of a proper data warehouse and in 5 years they'd be one single data store with all the apps cliented onto various views of it; the other of a Java developer who said that by 2000 all apps would be web-based Java, mainframe would be obsolete and Unix boxes would only be used by people who hadn't finished porting to Windows based net computing.

I'm not aware that either of these predictions have worked out entirely as planned. I hope your decisions (whatever they end up being) work out better for you.
