Hi,

i just finished my installation and configuration of mq v.6.0.2.2 on SLES 9. While creating a new qmgr i realized that no queue managers are displayed in mq explorer.

A can access the queue manager via command line and it´s definitly running, but there nothing displayed in the explorer.

Any suggestions?[/b]

What happens when you add the queue manager to the explorer (error messages etc)?

You could try "strmqcfg -c" but if it's a new queue manager not a migrated one that should be unnecessary.

I tried strmqcfg -c but this didn´t fix it.

Just for better understanding. I created the qmgr within the MQ Explorer and in my understanding it has to appear on its own after creation was successful.

Or do i have to add the qmgr manualy?

I'd try adding it (I'm old school and create queue managers with command lines, so don't know one way or the other on automatically. I always add them).

I'd also check (through the command line) that the queue manager's listener is set up ok & running normally.

Is the user running strmqcfg in the mqm group?

Is the PATH set properly, to find the mq libraries, including the java shared objects, and etc?

Did you check that the qmgr created successfully?

So i created the qmgr under the mqm account which is definitly a member of the mqm group. The path to the java classes are pointed correctly, and the created qmgr is running, because i can access it via runmqsc and work with it.

I can even add the qmgr manualy to the mqexplorer, but new created qmgr doesn ´t appear on their own after creation.

Is this a normal behaviour under LINUX?
