Can anybody confirm that after installing fixpack 6 on MB V6 on Windows and you switch JRE to 1.5 that everything is still working? Thanks

Yes, it is, but now I'm asking if anybody actually did this fix.... and if yes.... any problems? Up to now NOBODY could either confirm or deny that fixpack 6 give problems with JRE15.

I missed the subtle change of emphasis in your question....

Did you actually open a PMR on this issue?

Nope, not yet, but it seems like I must do this. The problem is that NOBODY else has seen this... but then, it also sounds like nobody else has done this. I can't believe that NOBODY in this forum except me tried fixpack 6.... and I do not want to open PMR if the problem might be on my side.

Open one anyway. If the problem is on your side the PMR analysts will help you diagnose it and fix it. If an APAR is needed there is no other way to get one...

The worst that will happen if you open a PMR, and the problem is on your side, is that you will get sarcastic comments back from L2 or L3.

I'm sure you can survive this experience.

Fair point, my bad.

I was thinking of this one:

Which IIRC prompted your sig.

Hello Guys,
I dont think that fixpack6 for 6.0 will support jre1.5. It is the new version(6.1) release that supports jre1.5 any fixpack for 6.0 will support only for jre 1.4 version.

Not true. MB v6 now supports both Java 1.5 and 1.4.2. MB v6.1 is Java 1.5 only. See http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v6r0m0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ab35800_.htm
