I'm having a similar problem. I'm sending multiLingual characters from the Sun/Unix platform to an mainframe & iSeries platform. The CCSID on the Unix side is 819 and 500 on the MF. I getting a 2019 on the get.... any suggestions?

Why would that have anything to do with character conversion?

Mods - please split this thread.

Yes - look up the 2019 code. If you still think it's connected to character conversion then steer clear of stimulants for 72 hours and drink plenty of water.

While you're doing that, look for the bug in the application code. It'll be connected to the queue handle handling (if you see what I mean).

Warning *war story alert*

Just had a programmer come to me with this one...the conversation went something like this:

Loser : "What have you done to MQ, it is'nt working?"
Self : " Huh? Give me a clue...which one of the hundreds of QMGRs in particular do you think is broken"
Loser : "On the mainframe" *thinks...narrows it down to 10 or so, all of which are working or the phones would be lighting up!*
Self : "What exactly is wrong and did you change anything recently"
Loser : "I am getting 2019 and 2011 and I haven't changed anything"
Self : "Really? Has this ever worked?"
Loser : "Yes, it was working fine yesterday"
Self : "...and you haven't changed anything"
Loser : "Well not really, all I did was move spaces to...."
Self : "bye." ... *click*

Second verse....same as the first

The refrain of:
"Did you change anything just before it stopped working?"
"Not a thing."
"Nothing?"
"Nothing. Apart from this one simple thing...."

is so familiar it should be the MQSeries.net official anthem.
