I am having an interesting problem with a cluster where running a remote runmqsc command to a cluster queue manager times out.
I have tried it on other clusters and it works however on this one it doesn’t
Anyone else experienced these kind of problems

From you're description I assume you're performing something like this:
runmqsc -w 60 QMGRNAME
I kept getting timeout problems when I did this. IBM told me there'd be a message on the DLQ at the destination which would list why it hadn't worked. In my case it was an authority issue

After stopping the message at each stage, i.e. transmissin queue, next server, a colleague and I discovered that it was the user id that caused the error.
The queue manager sending the request is on Windows 2000 while the other two queue managers are Unix. The user id being passed by windows caused a security violation.
These errors were not displayed in the logs, we discovered the errors by browsing the returned message in the temp MQSI.XXXXXXXXXX queue.
