Hi all,
If anybody has idea on achieving this requirement?
I have an XML output(in WMB 6.0)that has € sign in value in one of its tag.
The requirement is, this €(Euro) sign should be visible if I see the output in XML mode of RFHUtil and the same thing should display its escaped character if I see the output it in Char mode of RFHUtil.
I understand its a strange requirement, just wanted to check if this is possible.
Many Thanks !! |

Alethea,
Why bother with the char display of RFHUTIL. What is imperative is that the binary values are right. RFHUtil does not display UTF-8 but most probably something in your platform's CCSID. What if your platform's CCSID does not support the Euro character?? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Thanks for the reply fjb_saper.
You mean I should change NLS_LANG setting ?
But I can see the Euro € sign correctly when I see the output in XML mode and also in CHAR mode in RFHUtil.
The only place troubling is if it can show its escaped character in CHAR mode instead of a proper € Euro sign. |

No what I mean is you should not be concerned at all by the appearance in RFHUtil. The ONLY thing that should concern you is the hex output. This needs to be correct according to the message's CCSID. For the rest it is the responsibility of the consuming program which definitely would not be RFHUtil....
Now if you use RFHUtil to PUT a message to the queue make sure you set the CCSID on the MQMD according to the content of the message/file you loaded (437/850/1208/etc...)
