Hi, I have one question related to domain is A domain's configuration must come from a .cfg file in the default domain. is this statement is true ? also can we restrict access to a domain by user groups

Yes for both questions. for better env management, you can export the configuration to the external directory and point all env(s) to it. That way you dont need to export/import in each and every env.
