Hi,
I'm running websphere MQ 5.3 on iSeries and get the following error when retrieving MQS configs:-
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Writing Channel definitions to MS03/QMQSC(QA22) .
Got bad PCF response message
Type = 2
StrucLength = 36
Version = 1
Command = 25
MsgSeqNumber = 9
Control = 0
CompCode = 2
Reason = 2195
ParameterCount = 1
Parameter = 1013
Value = 536909140
Processing Aborted, output file may be incomplete
Press ENTER to end terminal session.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I've downloaded the latest MS03 and reloaded it but still get the same error on al our partitions.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Hi -
I'm the current maintainer of ms03. Please send me a PM with an email address where I can reach you.
I'm on vacation this week, so I'm not unfortunately going to be checking email or this site too much. But I'll get you as much help as I can, as soon as I can. And maybe someone else can help in the meantime.
What parameters are you passing to QSAVEQMGR? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Hi Gayathri,
I'm not sure how this link will help me, is this the underlying cause of the QSAVEQMGR error?
Is there anything I can do to fix the problem?
Rgds

I used the following parameters and a few other variations but none of them worked:-
QSAVEQMGR VERSION(530)
LCLQMGRNAM(QA22)
FILENAME('MS03/QMQSC(QA22)')
We're running O/S V5R4M0 on an IBM i520 with MQ licence code:-
5724B41 V5R3M0 WebSphere MQ for iSeries
5724B41 V5R3M0 WebSphere MQ for iSeries - Samples
The QSAVEQMGR looks to have collected the MQ config then writes to the QMQSC member but hits the error at the end of writing the channel info just prior to the process info so I end up with a member containing all the queue and channel info but not the process info, the last entry in the file member is:-
* === > Processing Aborted, output file may be incomplete
Any help much appreciated.

Gaya,
The reason code in the original post is 2195, not 2159. "Unexpected error". |
