Hello everyone,
i have one Websphere Mq for Z/Os on a LPAR (called MFET).
Now i have to create another new mq on the same Lpar(called MFES)
Usually i do all configurations ( create new queue, new channel and so on) from ISPF panels:

IBM WebSphere MQ for z/OS - Main Menu

Complete fields. Then press Enter.

Action . . . . . . . . . . 1 0. List with filter 4. Manage
1. List or Display 5. Perform
2. Define like 6. Start
3. Alter 7. Stop
Object type . . . . . . . . CHANNEL +
Name . . . . . . . . . . . *
Disposition . . . . . . . . Q=Qmgr, C=Copy, P=Private, G=Group,
S=Shared, A=All

Connect name . . . . . . . MFET - local queue manager or group
Target queue manager . . . MFET
- connected or remote queue manager for command input
Action queue manager . . . MFET - command scope in group
Response wait time . . . . 30 5 - 999 seconds

It's possibile?

Lookup CSQUTIL, it's a job/program that allows you to use MQSC commands on z/OS

yes...i will use csqutil to recreate all environment...but i need an input file (dd cmdinp) where i specify (for example) :

define process(....)

define qlocal (....) and so on.

I want to know if mq register all information about environment in a file...so i can use it as input or i have to rewrite all define commands...

Thanks

I am not a z/OS expert, but I know you can save the MQ Mainframe setup and create MAKEDEF files, you can then re-use the MAKEDEF output, to make changes...

If you have CAF (Client Attachement Feature) you can also use for example MO71 MQ Gui Explorer to save and apply definitions.

I'd use that method in preference, as it avoids the client step and is faster. You'll find MAKEDEF described in the z/OS System Admin manual in the section that describes CSQUTIL.
