We had an event recently on a UNIX/AIX server. The InhibitGet attribute had been applied to 16 local queues. A few (3 to 10) messages were sitting on each of the queues. Approximately 20 hours after this had been set, a check of the queues indicated that the InhibitGet wa no longer present. Fortunately, our configuration for DB2 was in error; our queued messages were still on the queues because our local password for DB2 was incorrect. No one is admitting to allowing the GET on the queues. Is anyone aware of a failure or defect that might cause an InhibitGet to fail without the use of MQSET?
