We have upgraded to V6.0, applied refresh pack 6.0.1. We rebooted the server, the MQ icon shows up in the icon tray in red, displays "Websphere MQ stopped". When I do a right click, and try to do 'Start Websphere MQ', it doesnt give any response.
Then I started all queue managers successfully using start option in GUI.
But the MQ icon is still in red.Can anyone help me in this regard? |

How are determining the queue managers are running? Testing through the GUI, command line, application, how? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Check the event log. If there's nothing there, uninstall/reinstall and see if that fixes the systray. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The color of the alert monitor is not related to the status of the Queue Managers. It tells you the status of the MQ Service. _________________ Peter Potkay

I checkd the event log, cudnt find any error related to the problem. When I try to right click the Websphere icon and select option 'About Websphere MQ', it displays the information "Websphere MQ Service Manager Version 6.0.0".
When I do dspmqver, it displays Websphere MQ version 6.0.1.0. Is this disparity between the two causing the problem? |

Hi
Would you mind to upgrade to Refresh Pack 2 and try out once before uninstalling the entire software.
Regards

Start the MQ Service in the Windows services and the Icon will be green, regardless of the whether the QM(s) are up or not. _________________ Peter Potkay

Thanks everyone, I tried starting Websphere MQ from services. The icon turned green. The issue was that, the logon credentials for starting Websphere MQ service was incorrect.
I have applied the refresh pack 6.0.1 to the base version(6.0.0.0). Can I go ahead and apply the latest fix pack 6.0.2.2? |
