I am trying to create a configuration on a Solaris 5.8 server running Workflow 3.6.0.5. I am running as root and verified that the same components are installed as other working sytems. When I run the fmczutil utility, and perform c (create), FMCUA1 for configuration, fmc for the configuration identifier, I get the following installation categories:

FMC33210I Select Category Menu:
c ... ( ) Client with queue manager
k ... ( ) Java API with queue manager
w ... ( ) Web Client
a ... all
n ... none
x ... Exit FMC33210I Select Category Menu:

On another system with the same software levels I get the following:

s ... ( ) Server
i ... ( ) Runtime Database Utilities
c ... ( ) Client with queue manager
k ... ( ) Java API with queue manager
w ... ( ) Web Client
a ... all
n ... none
x ... Exit Select Category Menu
Select Category Menu

Please note that Server and Runtime Database Utilities are missing from the first menu.

Here are the software levels that are installed:

Can anyone explain why the server and runtime database categories are not showing up as options/categories?

Any help is appreciated
Jack

When you install MQWF you have the choice which components you want to install. Make sure that you have installed the server and database components on your box.

I am being told by the systems group who installed the software that there is only one option. If you install the server package, is there really an option on whether or not you want to install the database runtime and server options? Can someone please verify this?

Thanks in advance
Jack

Try running the configuration checker fmczchk on both boxes to figure our the difference.
