What file extensions do you routinely use for any MQSC files that you create and save?

.tst? .mqs? .mqsc?

Nothing? .txt? .scr?

I use .config for MQSC files and .auth for setmqaut files.

and of course, saveqmgr creates SAVEQMGR.TST by default or qmgr.MQS if you specify -f. But Jeff knew that ...

For mqsc files produced from existing queue managers (usually as backup files): .MQS

For mqsc files for brand-new queue managers: .original

For security output files: .AUT
(I used to name these .SEC, that works, too.)

We are all wondering why the Grand Poobah would ask us such a question.

It does seem backward from the normal mode of us asking HIM questions, doesn't it?

Hi,

For MQSC, I've used'.mqsc' for years - I have the keywords highlighted in the text editor that I use.

For setmqaut commands, I don't use an extension.

Hummm, sounds like Jeff is writing a 'Standards' document.

Regards,
Roger Lacroix

... or writing a MQSC editor plug-in for eclipse?

Just to keep the guessing rolling

Personnaly I have always used .txt as it's so easy, but I will vote for .mqsc.
