It sounds like an issue with Windows secuity - something like the user you've installed as being a domain user perhaps.

Start a new thread?

Supply some more details?

Did you install as a domain user, or a local one? Are you installing v6? On what version of Windoze?

Or is this not an installation problem or a problem affecting an existing queue manager which previously has been working?

Make sure it's patched to at least SP4 (the lowest level that supports v6 IIRC).

Does the error occur for all users post-migration or just domain ones?

What level of v6 are you installing, i.e. are you applying maintenance as well as migrating? You should go to at least v6.0.1

What choices did you make when you ran the Prepare WebSphere MQ Wizard?

Does it work if you run that Wizard again, and make choices that match your environment?

I didn´t get the chance to make options.
After the wizard screen comes up, i click next and the error appears right about the next screen.

And you're certain you're logged into the box as a local user?

If so, I'd try applying SP4 (which I've looked up & is on the requirements for v6 on Win2K).

Windoze Service Pack. Fixes for Windows. Speak to whoever administers the box.

Basically IBM don't support v6 running on Win2K unless those fixes are applied. Not saying it's going to fix your problem but it does eliminate one source of error, and does allow you (in extremis) to raise a PMR.

Still sounds like a domain user rather than a local user to me though...
