I have configured the MQ Explorer manually,
to display all my queue managers.
There are plenty of them ...
... and would like to
(a) SAVE this configuration
(b) export it to another machine
How can this be done ? S. |

By using the "Export MQ Explorer Settings" menu item perhaps? |

I knew there must be something simple like that! The trick is to find it...
in the Explorer right-click the top level "IBM WebSphere MQ" ... _________________ Michael

I prefer to access directly to the file :
%APPDATA%\IBM\MQ Explorer\ .metadata\.plugins\com.ibm.mq.explorer.ui\WMQ_Handles.xml

You prefer to do a lot of things the hard way...
There's also more than one file in there, and it's not the best plan to pick & choose which ones you want. It might not break anything - but why bother when there's an existing method that's supplied and supported and entirely usable? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Because doing things the hard way seems to be a site standard?

Sometimes the shortest distance between two points is not the most attractive. Or the best route. But it will get you there. Or will seem too.... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

mr Markt - it contains all the info I need : the remote IPs and Ports.
Jeff & Vitor : it is the "command line" way I prefer, because it allows
for Automatic Operation.
If we want to save the configuration (maybe remote),
I can start a shell auto-magically on Monday at 23:54
that can do it WITHOUT THE "RIGHT CLICK"
