We have a 3-tier mqwf confgiured with run-time db2 client installation on the workflow server ( win2000). I run into this problem ( FMC31050E An error has occurred which has terminated processing.) with Sqlcode=-30081 when ever there has been a reboot or restart of the DB2 instance on the DB2 server, and workflow server dies. This makes sense as workflow will lose its connection to the DB2 server when it is restarted. But after the restart of db2 server, I am requiring a reboot of MQWF server for workflow to start. ( I haven't tried it, but probably the DB2 client restart is enough)
I am absolutely novice with DB2 and am trying to gather info about the kind of communication DB2 uses between the server and the client. When a connection is established do they use an ephemeral port for communication and do they reastablish a connection once it is broken ( by what I am experiencing they do not.).
Please let me know if any of you are experiencing a similar problem, or if it is a problem with my configuration.
