I've looked at the Omegamon MQ Configuation guide and don't see a way to change these queues used for monitoring from permanent to temporary dynamic queues.

In our nightly backups we use the IBM Support Pack to delete them. Seems like Omegamon should be able to clean up after itself on a MQM recycle or reuse what it already has created.

Have I missed something in the doc to accomplish this?

You haven't missed anything. You are correct in the way you are deleting the queues created by Omegamon.

Actually just a few minutes ago I changed this in the Omegamon MQ AGENT parms:

Old
SET GROUP NAME(DEFAULT) DEFAULT(YES) -
AGGRHIST(15) -
RETAINHIST(1440) -
MSGACCESS(DESC) -
COMMAND(YES) -
EVENTS(REMOVE) -
HLQ(KMQ) -
RQMODEL(SYSTEM.COMMAND.REPLY.MODEL)

to:
SET GROUP NAME(DEFAULT) DEFAULT(YES) -
AGGRHIST(15) -
RETAINHIST(1440) -
MSGACCESS(DESC) -
COMMAND(YES) -
EVENTS(REMOVE) -
HLQ(KMQ) -
RQMODEL(KMQ.COMMAND.REPLY.MODEL)

The KMQ.COMMAND.REPLY.MODEL defined as a temporary dynamic Q. Now they go away on a recycle of AGENT or MQM.

I had an old copy of the manual. New Manual had all this defined in it.
