I copied the whole workspace (just normal file copy using windows exploer) from my desktop to my laptop so that I can continue my work away from the office. When I start the toolkit on my laptop using the cooied workspace, I saw 'red x" in a few of my message flow projects.
The problem description says
Project 'MY_MFP' (or of its referenced projects) is inconsistent and must be rebuilt.
Can some one tell me why this is happening nd what is the quickiest way to fix it. Everything is fine on my desktop, so there is nothing wrong with the orginal work space. But the workspace on my laptop is copied from the desktop and shpuld be the same. |

Hi AkankshA, thanks for the quick answer. I was hoping that I do not have to rebuild the whole project. I cannot find a "rebuild" button. So I am assuming that I have to re-import all the flows and the message sets that was in my original work space. I can do that. I was hoping to drill down a little more into it to see what is "inconsistent" and under it a little more so that this does not happen again. Since I am copying the whole workspace unchanged, I like to know what could have cause this probelma nd avoid this in the future. |

Hi ,
Hey did you check out the dependies of your project and even the environment that 's present on your laptop is same as the environment on your system. And even the jar files or any other things that need to be present in proper location,as in your laptop. _________________ G.VANDANA |

One of our developers encountered a very similar problem this morning. A clean and rebuild did not fix the problem. Seemed fine, though, when I deleted the project from the toolkit (using the 'do not delete contents' option) and imported back in again. You should probably rebuild those projects no matter what you try, though. |

I had the same problem also.
Thanks for the tip.
I was afraid that I had lost two weeks of work!
I used the same procedure, delting the project from the tooklit and choosing the default to 'do not delete contents'.
But I didn't have to re-import anything.
I just created a new message flow project with the same name as the one I had just deleted.
After creating the message flow project, everything was there, except for the error red-X.
So I then rebuilt the project and continued.
I wonder what was inconsistent...and if anyone is working on a fix
And this is just a wild guess, but were you by chance using IA90 support pack...it may be a huge coincidence, but I didn't see this problem until after I installed and used IA90...and in fact my message flow in this case originated with IA90.
Thanks again and CHEERS! |

Simon - did you restart WMBT with "-clean" after installing IA90?
I've also seen some odd kinds of failures in the Toolkit that were either resolved by restarting with -clean (and no other changes) or occasionally... by applying the latest iFix to the Toolkit. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Hi Jeff,
Yes, many times I restarted WMBT with -clean.
I do try to run the Updater weekly so I probably have the latest fixes.
Again, I'm just guessing about IA90 which BTW I think is an awsome extension to the product.
But I was wondering if anyone else had a corrolary. |

I tried all the mentioned methods (-clean, close project and re-open project, clean project) without luck. What I end up doing is switch to a brand new work space and import all the projects one by one from my copied work space and everything is fine.
I just hope that IBM can provide better diagnostic information than just saying that something is inconsistent. |
