Hi !
Our customer has 2 environments : Development, where flows are designed and tested, and Production, where they are used.
The Development envir has a queue manager named "QM.DEV" and the queue names are like "QM.DEV.INPUT", "QM.DEV.OUT_OK", etc
Now a flow has to go into Production, where the queue manager name is "QM.PROD" and queue names are like "QM.PROD.IN", "QM.PROD.OUT_OK", etc
While we had few MQ_In and MQ_Out nodes we did change the BAR file properties manually at this moment.
But now the flows are growing in size and complexity and we have to find a better way to do it, and if possible to do it automatically, using a Script, a Perl, a Rexx, whatever.
Question : is there a Text file (maybe XML ?) we can edit to change the BAR file properties ?
Any other idea / sugestion is welcome.

Thanks, Vitor and Schneider. I shall read the 3 documents this week.
A bit more, Vitor : you say "Other methods are available and may suit you better." You mean the followign "ANT" or are there any others ?
Finaly you say "This site has developed an Ant script which builds bar files for various environments." - is this Script available .... ? |

There are a variety of possibilities, combining the various tools available. It's just a question of how you like to do your cat skinning.

ANT was the tool these people decided on. It's not available, it was developed in house & is therefore subject to intelectual property considerations. You'd probably get as much, if not more, from the example quoted on the IBM site. It has much more explaination with it, for obvious reasons. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Available options : I will first read the 3 articles, and then ask more questions ...
ANT - no problem - just wanted to make clear .... |
