I have a major issue with a V5 Broker. Our v5 Toolkit\Config Manager on a Windows 2000 box with Service Pack 4 on had its Hard Discs removed and upgraded the other day without my knowledge. As you can imagine this has trashed my ConifgMgr link with the broker. The Broker is still runing fine on a AIX 5.1 system but I have lost all control over this broker and its an important one. We have had the discs restored in the Windows 2000 box but the Windows team couldn't restore the discs successfully so now when we start the Toolkit up we do not see any Brokers in the Domain. When we try to connect to the Broker Domain using the Toolkit we get the following error:
BIP0889E An Exception occured while communicating with the Configuration Manager on
PubSubTopology information was not received from the Configuration Manager. Either the Configuration Manager is not available or the user 'db2admin@sdpmqglos201' does not have authority to view the object. (UUID='PubSubTopology', required attribute='name')
So basically can anyone tell me how to get out of this situation, is there anyway to fix our Config Manager to re-take control of the broker or does anyone have a suggestion on how we can regain control of this broker. The broker no longer has a link to its Config Manager and rebuilding the broker is not an option.
You have to delete and recreate the broker in order to reconnect it to a different configmgr.
It sounds like you have to delete and recreate your configmgr as well, though. It doesn't seem to be happy. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
