Hi,
I'm newbie to MQ series. I want to upgrade MQ 6.0 on HP-UX B.11.00 server. But in MQ 6.0 Quick Beginings for HP-UX, it is mentioned that recomemended OS for installation is
v HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11) 64 bit plus Dec. 2003 Quality Pack To use SSL applications with HP-UX 11i v1, install the following patches or equivalent superseding levels before you install WebSphere MQ Version 6.0: ? PHSS_26946 ? PHCO_29960 ? PHCO_27434 ? PHKL_28489 ? PHSS_28871v HP-UX 11i v2 (11.23) 64 bit.
Can i install the MQ 6.0 on lower version OS on HP i.e B.11.00 or i've to upgrade the OS to 11i before installing the MQ 6.0?
Please put some light on this?

That's telling you what version of the software is required for it to be a supported configuration.
It may or may not be telling you what version of the software is required for MQ to function.
The question you need to ask your self is - do you want to update the OS to be supported, or do you want to have to fix any and all problems you encounter on your own and/or run the risk that you'll have to do the upgrade anyway?
My choice would be to upgrade.

Thanks for the Reply. May i know what version is required for MQ6.0 to work? Is MQ 6.0 supports HP-UX Version B.11.00?
Can i upgrade the MQ 6.0 on B.11.00 version? or i've to upgrade the version to 11i before installation?

The Latest MQ Series Version is 6.0
Refresh Pack is 2
what version is required for MQ6.0 to work? Version is in the question itself.
