Hello,
In order to monitor MQ workflow activity, we are about to query directly the DB 2 tables. Information we are looking for are as follow:
- User connected
- Absent users
- WI on list of absent user
- WI at a stage for more than X mins
- List of WI in a certain stage (error for example)
- And possibly some others.
Reading through the forum, I have found that doing query directly on DB 2 tables is not recommended as IBM will not provide support (Except for the audit trail table). Is this the case if we create some side tools just to monitor ?
I also came accross the following: "Audit To MQ" facilitiy combined with Audit Filtering.
Is this tool provided with MQ workflow ? What functionalities does it provide, more generally, where can we find documentation about this tool?
Thank you for the help.
Regards. |

One suggestion!!!
Look into the BPM tool set by Holosofx. They have a monitor that seriously rocks. I just sat through a demo last Friday and was really impressed. I think this may be what your looking for. I would at least ask for a free demo, which can be done over the web.
Ask for Jasmine, she provided us with a wonderful demonstration of the tool.

NO I don't work for Holosofx.com, I just believe it's good to share the information when you find a good product.

Audit to MQ is part of MQWF from V33 forward. I don't think there is any doc to speak of. You simply indicate that you want your audit records written to a Queue, supply the queue name, and optionally list the specific audit records you want to be written to the queue.
Unfortunately, I think some of what you are looking for is not tracked in the audit trail. _________________ John McDonald
