Hello,

I want to have the three WMQI environments : dev, test and production .
So I describe below what I intend to set up.
Your advice and notices would be WELCOME on what is described below.

For the Configuration Managers :
On each environement, I intend to use 3 Configuration Managers : one CM for the dev environement (shared by all the developpers), another CM for the test environement, and finally another one for the production environment.
Does this config seem correct to you or dou have any notice ?

For the Brokers :
I intend to use 3 brokers : a broker for the dev environement (each developper will have its personnal execution group on the broker), another broker for the test environement, and finally another one for the production environement.
Does this config seem correct to you or dou have any notice ?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP AND ADVICES !!!

Hi,
I think your intended setup looks okay, but one thing i would like to suggest is, when you setup Execution groups in devl/test/prod, build them based on application/module. EGs are used for isolation of related message flows. i.e put all message flows related to one applicaiton/module under one EG.

I would suggest not to create Execution Groups based on Application/module in Development environment. You will have problems when two developers work on two different msg flows belonging to same module, and they try to use same execution group to testing their message flows.
I would suggest that you create one EG for each developer on Development box ONLY.

fbaril3,

My company is using the same setup as what you are proposing.

But make sure the queue names in all the three environments are the same (although under different queue managers) or you will face problems later on when you migrate from one environment to another, since the queue names are hardcoded into the input nodes of WMQI.

I know we can use DestinationList when it comes to output nodes, but can we do the same for input nodes?
