When attempting to start my queue manager, I'm getting the following errors:

Purchased processor allowance not set (use setmqcap).
An expected stanza in an INI file is missing or contains errors.

We've never seen this error before.

We did upgrade to Solaris 2.8 this weekend.

Why are we getting this error? How can this be resolved?

Thanks in advance,
Robin

Perhaps upgrading to 2.8 reset your kernel settings to default? You might need to look at the Quick Beginnings Guide for MQSeries Solaris and see if all the necessary kernel values are still set...

Hi - this error sounds weird. Did you do a processor upgrade as well (i.e. added an extra CPU)? Perhaps you could publish your MQS and QM .INI files.

Also, you are most certainly getting some FDC files, what do the headers look like?
