Did you follow the steps
1. Suspend the Qmgr from the cluster
2. Stop the cluster channels
3. remove the channels from the cluster
4. delete the cluster channels
5. remove the Queues from the cluster
6. remove the Qmgr from the cluster
7. repeat Steps 1-6 for all the Qmgrs in the cluster with the full repos to be done at the end |

Looks like the procedure...
But did you also:
remove the cluster channels between the full repos
Turn the full repos into partials?
Only then is the cluster truely gone... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

no luck i tried making the full repos partial...but no luck...i guess i am missing out on some step...

Do not look at the cluster part of the MQExplorer...
Check the qmgr properties. There should be a cluster tab.
Make sure the Cluster & ClusterNameList contain appropriate values...
