The background is a little bit too dark (and brooding) for me...

I welcome the changes, but second the background "problem" or maybe it's the grey on dark blue combination  just a few minutes on the weekend already makes my head spin...

Well, MQ is a serious and dark subject, but I suppose it is a little on the dark side, can we have options on style?
The main thing is, is it going to better stop the spammers proliferating their rubbish on this site? It's still got the confirmation stuff to stop "non-human" posters which it had before, does it have anything more? |

Also for those with white backgrounded pictutres it looks a bit odd.

Now that Brandon has posted the News item, I can offer a few words on the subject. The positive credits are all Brandon's, I accept the blame for the negative ones. 
I will ask one of our web guys to look at the color schemes and see if any imrpovements can be made to make things easier to see and read.
The security will certainly be enhanced to hopefully further minimize the BOT type spammers . Keeping the site better updated, perhaps re-grouping and consolidating some of the existing forums, also adding a few other new enhancements and features with the input and feedback of moderators will be in store in the coming weeks.
Please bear with us while we get to grips with collecting ideas and suggestions, then improving things for most users as best we can.

I am afraid I find the new style totally unusable.
I will have to stop following these boards for a while
At the least please give a give a choice of styles via the profile menu,

Yes, I lke that idea.
And I too agree that the style is WAY too dark. Yes, it is techno cool but almost unuseable.
The dark-blue headers over black background - say what!. Some buttons are dark-blue and others are almost black which makes it almost impossible to find the buttons. Even the scroll bar is black. The posting in the forums are off-white on dark-blue background (alternating with a black background).
I have 20/20 eye sight and I find it hard to read.
Although, the new logo (top-left) is catchy.

I agree as with the above. The new style it is very hard to read and navigate. The icons that distinguish new posts from ones I have read are so similar that I though someone had hacked the site at first! And don;t get me started on the scroll bars 
I'm afraid that I too will have to stop following and posting on the WMB forum unless I have a way to reset the icons/colour scheme etc to something usable.

And here's another vote against the colours and the font. It's too much of a strain to read. Please return to the old style.
And the large "google" boxes (not the ads - adblock takes care of those - but the search forms at top and bottom of each page) are unnecessary clutter too.

I don't have an opinion one way or another on the Google ads.
I do agree that, were I designing a website for readability of technical content... this is not the color scheme that I would have chosen...

The look is cool, though a little too dark as everyones suggesting...
But I have a slightly different problem....I can't see to find a link for 'Latest Posts' luckily I had bookmarked the same and am using that, but I can't seem to find it's link here on the page...
