Hi All,

The Unix team picked up a permission change to the AMQRSYNA.DAT file, and I need to find out why. The file has also been updated along with the AMQRFCDA.DAT file but why do you think mq would change the permissions? I am getting no other errors in the logs and the Queue Manager appears to be working without issue.

Originally the permissions were set to -

-rwxrwsr-x 1 mqm mqm 720 Sep 1 2003 /var/mqm/qmgrs/LCH!ECL!PRD/@ipcc/AMQRSYNA.DAT


Now they are set to -

-rwxrwxr-x 1 mqm mqm 1076 Aug 28 17:00 /var/mqm/qmgrs/LCH!ECL!PRD/@ipcc/AMQRSYNA.DAT



Where running MQver 5.3 CSD11 on Solaris Sparc.

Hi,

on my box all DAT files have permission rw-rw----.
Why should a data file have execution right or a setuid flag?
