the problem is that i get this exception many times

Code:

Text = An error occurred whilst performing an SSL socket operation
            Insert
               Type = 5
               Text = read
            Insert
               Type = 5
               Text = java.net.SocketException: Socket is closed

when invoking a secured webservice.

it happens 2 or 3 times then it works fine then it apears again
after a while

in general i noticed that the first 2 or 3 calls for the HTTP Request Node generates this exception

did any one face this problem before?

and what in hell does this exception mean? because the webservice is working fine through IE ..

Try deploying the flow twice, I remember that we have to deploy the flow twice if you are using HTTPRequest node in the flow.

No.

You have to restart the broker twice after deploying an HTTPInput node that uses a different URL than it previously did.

It's entirely likely that the error shown by nemo101 is caused by network problems, or issues at the remote service, or almost everything else other than the HTTPRequest node, or how often it was deployed.
